From My Holiday Diary

& the days at the ANAND jungle resort , Lansdowne (literally a jungle, with limited but basic facilities, rarely any network for cell phones). Covered with fine green pine trees  & untouched  by commercialism, the Garhwal Hills is a good destination to unwind your mind & soul. As told by a local villager, during spring, the ranges are covered with a beautiful blanket of wild/herbal flowers. Butterflies ranging from 5" - 10" are common in the month of March-April.

My holiday ended with excessive shopping. During the SALE season, my wallet seems too heavy & uncontrollable . Will post pics of the shopping items soon  :)
Happy New Year to all .

The sacred brooch

The below double-heart brooch is a gift from a friend of mine. At first, I liked the concept of two hearts attached to each other, later when I google-d MIZPAH , I was amazed ( honestly, I didn't know what it meant earlier). This is an awesome piece of art from J.W. Anderson. I'm totally in love with this & love my friend for such an wonderful gift.

The lord watch between me and thee,
When we are absent one from another.

the above picture is taken by me & cannot be re-used anywhere without my permission :)

DIWALI - the festival of lights , is celebrated with much joy & enthusiasm all over India. Its an official holiday for other countries Nepal,Sri LankaMyanmarMauritiusGuyanaTrinidad & Tobago,SurinameMalaysiaSingapore, and Fiji too. This time, I celebrated diwali with a couple of friends & relatives. The pictures are taken with my CANON digi-cam. I didn't  planned these shots , just a few random clicks. And the unimaginable directions of light makes these snaps interesting. Hope you guys will enjoy these.

p.s. do notice the glowing heart-shaped lights.
